14kt Gold Blue Enamel, Seed Pearl & Diamond Rosette Earrings

Cobalt blue enamel ribbons radiate from a diamond-set star, framed by a halo of prong-set seed pearls and hand-worked 14kt gold beading. It is the sort of Victorian-revival rosette that jewelers no longer make — enamel this deep and pearls this small demand a level of hand-setting that simply does not survive modern production.

At a full inch across, the pair reads as substantial without weight, and the blue does something lovely against gold: it warms rather than cools, which is why these enamel pieces have never gone out of favor.

Finished with omega backs and posts for a secure, flush fit against the lobe.
