Kyanite Cabochon Riviére Necklace in 14K Yellow Gold

An unbroken line of blue. Forty-four oval kyanite cabochons are set end to end in warm 14 karat yellow gold, each stone domed and polished to a soft, liquid finish rather than faceted — the effect is depth instead of sparkle, a saturated denim blue that shifts from slate to cornflower as it catches the light.
Slim four-prong settings lift every stone just off the neck, leaving the gold visible between them so the necklace moves and drapes with real fluidity. At 20 inches, it sits below the collarbone: long enough to layer beneath a shorter chain, confident enough to stand entirely on its own with a crisp white shirt or an open neckline.
Kyanite is prized among collectors for exactly this color — the blue of fine sapphire, at a fraction of the presence and with a quiet, velvety character all its own.
